The cover of Spin-Off looks as if it might be at the vortex of the Cosmic Snow Flake Generator, and I think this concept might define a whole new Genre of music, in which to categorize mine. The antithesis of Heavy Metal, so to speak: Cosmic Snow Flake music. Often, I'm trying to dribble the time by, bit by bit, with my music, so that a person listening, can do some intricate work, without feeling rushed by the background music, or distracted by words.

The music for my first three CD's was all recorded in a flurry of playing during the Winter of 2006-2007, and Spin-Off is the last collection of that music. It features more special effects added to the music in various spots, to make for a different sounds out of the same instrument. I got back to playing my electric guitar, on this CD, once I got all the gadgets hooked up in between it and the computer. It was this electronic manipulation of impulses, emitted as ethereal space-music, that is the synergy between the cover of Spin-Off and its music. Pink Floyd's early work influences my playing. ..although Roger Waters would probably wince if he heard me say that, and that noise you hear, is Sid Barrett rolling over in his grave. But out here in the boonies, the hill folk are easily amused. ..if not all that technically proficient. I've got to warn you though--Spin-Off ends up with a 45 second blues harp jam that will wake you up quickly, if you aren't ready for it.
