I had just rescued this little Green Snake from my cat, and was checking it out for damage.    It seemed pretty healthy, for having a big fang hole in its neck.   It relaxed a bit, after I got it away from the jaws of death, and it seemed to be quite aware of the turn of events, and curious as to who I might be, rather than frightened, as it had been.   I let it go when the cat wasn't watching any more.   I wasn't really trying to talk to the snake.   They don't have ears.  [that's why they don't make very good piano players, if you ever wondered]
